Das Klimaschutzgesetz hat für Deutschland Treibhausgasneutralität bis 2045 verankert. Bereits bis 2030 sollen die Emissionen um 65 Prozent gegenüber 1990 sinken. Vor allem für die Industrie besteht hier großer Handlungsbedarf. Allerdings gibt es in vielen Unternehmen nur wenig Wissen darüber, welche Emissionen entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette, insbesondere außerhalb des eigenen Unternehmens, entstehen. Zudem erfordern die ESG-Vorgaben (Environmental, Social, Governance) der EU künftig Transparenz der Datennutzung und der Ressourcenverwendung, u. a. im Entwurf einer neuen Ökodesign-Verordnung.

Am 24.März 2022 wählten drei unabhängige Experten Lorenz als Gewinner des Awards in der Kategorie Circular Economy. In der Finalrunde konnte Lorenz sich gegen den starken Mitstreiter Shell durchsetzen und sich über eine weitere prestigeträchtige Auszeichnung auf seinem Weg vom ländlichen Fertigungsbetrieb hin zum Technologieführer für Smart Metering sowie als Vorreiter im Bereich Circular Economy freuen.

The German Environment Ministry and the German Industry Association BDI have honoured Lorenz with one of the most prestigious corporate awards in Germany.

"Impressive and fascinating engineering achievements." The G*SM (Green Smart Meter) digital residential water meter was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Prize.

Under the patronage of Dorothee Bär, Minister of State for Digitalisation, Lorenz was awarded the renowned DIGITAL LEADER AWARD for the " Germany's best digital transformation strategy " in Berlin.

The German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE) and the regional network offices for sustainability strategies (RENN) awarded Lorenz the "Project Sustainability 2019" award for entrepreneurial responsibility in practice and leading technological solutions for tomorrow's water supply.

"One of the many hidden champions to whom Baden-Württemberg owes its economic strength": The German magazine for CIOs and IT managers spotlights Lorenz in an extensive company portrait.

On 05/06 June, the Association of German Engineers (VDI) will host a specialist conference on "Data in Industry 2019" in Stuttgart. At the invitation of the organizer, Lorenz will be presented to the numerous invited experts as a SME model for digitization.

The VDMA Future Business Summit will be held in Hanau on 3/4 June under the motto "Circular Economy 4.0". By invitation of the organizer, Lorenz will be presented as a model for remanufacturing and digital transformation.

On the invitation of Umwelttechnik BW; Lorenz-CEO Wilhelm Mauss speaks at the "Forum Environment Technology" in Rottweil.

The Upper Austrian Economic Minister Markus Achleitner awarded Lorenz the EU MOVECO Innovation Award on May 14 in Linz. An international jury voted the digital radio water meter "Product of the Year 2019".

For the first time, the new trade fair and congress event TAUSENDWASSER will take place at Filmpark Babelsberg near Berlin from 27 to 28 March. Lorenz will be there as an exhibitor.

For the 33rd time, the Oldenburg Pipeline Forum will take place from 14 to 15 February. Once again, Lorenz will be there.

Environment Minister Franz Untersteller pays tribute to Lorenz for its unique circular economy concept with a personal visit to the plant in Schelklingen. Already in 2016, Lorenz was awarded as one of "100 companies for resource efficiency".

The traditional expert forum of the DVGW North Regional Group will take place for the 27th time in 2018 on 4/5 December. Lorenz presents itself at the parallel trade exhibition.

The MM Innovation Day on 21 November 2018 deals with the digital transformation and the path for enterprises to Industrial IoT. How do SMEs remain competitive in times of digitization and the change of working environments? Lorenz serves as a best practice example.

Already awarded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, a new production facility for the latest generation of radio water meters was officially inaugurated today. Around 200 guests attended the ceremony, including partners, customers and suppliers as well as representatives from politics, business and industry associations.

A "smart" production system for "smart" and high-quality measuring instruments: This convinced the jury of the Alliance Industry 4.0. Economics Minister Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut awarded Lorenz as one of the "100 Landmarks for Industry 4.0" in Baden-Württemberg.
