Conference on digitalisation: Lorenz valued as best practice example

The MM Innovation Day "Networked Machines in SMEs" on 21 November 2018 dealt with the digital transformation and the path for companies to industrial IoT. There, Lorenz served as a best practice example.

The expert forum examined how Lorenz succeeded in transforming itself from a classic manufacturing company to today's award-winning pioneer for smart metering an IoT, which "plays a decisive role in the digitization of water supply with smart measuring devices, fully networked and resource-efficient production, a comprehensive hygiene concept and innovative services".

Lorenz CEO Wilhelm Mauß was invited as a speaker. Other speakers included Christoph Berger, Managing Director of Kompetenzzentrum Mittelstand 4.0 (Augsburg), Dr. Andreas Gallasch, Managing Director of Software Factory GmbH (Munich), Johann Hofmann, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH (Regensburg), Andreas Börner, EDAG Production Systems GmbH & Co. KG (Fulda) and Gilles Gonzalez, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg).

The event took place in the "MakerSpace" of UnternehmerTUM in Munich/Garching, the Center for Innovation and Foundation at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
